So these girls at school were quoting the bible about Pesach how if you eat Chometz you get kures. Now I'm conflicted to perhaps keep Pesach (and kick off a diet), or take this opportunity to get "cut off".
Kurest, Chassidus explains is.... Ok there is 5 levels to the Nishama - ruach, nefesh, nishomoh, chayuh, yechidah. The inyan of kures is ....
Why am I still dealing with these things?
I found it interesting that many secular Jews refrain from eating "Hametz" on Pesach as well.

As to the question posed in the title of the post "Chametz or no Chametz" I humbly submit my answer....Chametz.
This year I've decided to take a sort of middle path. I'm not cleaning my house or getting rid of my chametz and I won't eat anything that is obvious chametz (bread, cookies, etc.) but I'm not buying the kosher for passover butter, salad dressing, cheese, etc. If I can't see the chametz, it doesn't count. I think there's some kind of distorted logic there. I'm not sure why I'm forgoing the obvious chametz or how long I will hold out, but that's my thinking.
How about Ken Asa Hille with Shmuah Maztah and Bacon??? think about it!!!
But DO NOT eat Gebroks.
chaim's mom, it's not distorted at all. Well maybe just a bit. But it's a way to maintain tradition and be connected.
What's your email? I can't figure out how to use the contact button. Please email me at daniel.c642@gmail.com. Btw I use to be in pretty much the same situation as you, and your definitely going down the right path. Keep up the good work.
so did you eat chametz in the end?
